Why a station becomes the bottleneck
At volume, a scanning station is a queue. Every asset has to arrive, be presented, be read and be moved on, and the line runs at the speed of that one point. Capturing on the belt takes the station out of the path entirely.
What we are building
A head mounted over the conveyor system that reads each asset as it passes and writes to the same record as every other deployment. It is in development with an equipment manufacturer, on their line.
