The gap it closes
On most floors the serial is recorded at a bench and the device is destroyed somewhere else, minutes or hours later. That gap is where the chain of custody gets thin — the record says a drive was destroyed, but what it actually evidences is that a drive was scanned and then carried away.

What you get, and what you build
We supply the unit that does the work — the camera and the computing that reads the label, identifies the serial and writes the record. We do not supply a mount. Where it sits on your machine, at what distance and angle, how it is powered and how it is protected from the environment is yours to build.

- Not supplied — bracket, enclosure, mounting hardware, power routing.
- For a manufacturer this is a design detail at the drawing stage.
- For an operator it is a fabrication job. Scope it before you buy.
Why we do it that way
A mount is the part that ties a capture system to one machine. Design a bracket around a specific frame and you have built something that fits that frame and nothing else. Leaving the mount to you is what lets the same unit go onto any shredder on your floor, and onto the next one you buy from someone else. It costs you a bracket and buys you the freedom to use it anywhere.
